Wink Wink Man 🖤
The Texting Crimes Men Commit Without Even Knowing It. 🚨😂
Gentlemen, put the phone down. We need to talk.
Gentlemen… we need to have a serious conversation about your texting habits.
Not your driving. Not your grilling skills. Not your ability to find the remote while it's literally sitting beside you.
Your TEXT MESSAGES. 📱😂
Because some of you can hold a 45-minute conversation about football, explain every detail of a video game, and send 27 messages about what happened at work…
But when she asks, “How was your day?” you suddenly develop the communication skills of a potato.
Bro. We can do better.
Welcome to the Wink Wink Man Texting Hall of Shame. Let's review the evidence. 🚨
🚨 Crime #1: The One-Word Wonder
Her: “How was your day? 😊”
Him: “Good.”
Her: “What did you do today?”
Him: “Work.”
Her: “Oh, nice. Anything interesting happen?”
Him: “No.”
Sir. 😂
She wasn't conducting a police interview. She was trying to have a conversation with you!
You don't need to write a novel, but a little effort goes a long way.
Try this instead:
“Pretty good! Work was busy, but I'm finally relaxing. How was your day?”
Look at that! A complete thought AND a question.
The bar is not on the floor, gentlemen. Please stop bringing a shovel.
🚨 Crime #2: The Legendary “WYD?” at Midnight
It's 12:07 AM.
Your text: “wyd?”
That's it. No greeting. No context. No explanation. Just three letters and a dream. 😂
Now, depending on your relationship and your usual banter, that message might be perfectly fine.
But if you're trying to get to know someone, you might want to give her a little more to work with.
Try this instead:
“Hey, troublemaker. How's your night going? 😏”
Or, if you're already together:
“I wish you were here stealing the blankets right now. 😂❤️”
Same phone. Same fingers. Slightly more personality.
And remember, gentlemen: if she doesn't reply, don't keep sending messages until her phone looks like it's experiencing a software malfunction.
One message is an invitation. Twenty messages can become a crime scene.
🚨 Crime #3: The Disappearing Act 🪄
You're texting back and forth. The conversation is going great.
Then suddenly…
POOF.
You vanish.
Three hours later, you return like nothing happened.
“Hey.”
HEY?!
Where have you been? Did you join the witness protection program? Get recruited by NASA? Fall into a black hole?
Okay, real life happens. Work gets busy. Phones get forgotten. People have responsibilities.
Nobody expects you to be available every second of the day.
But if you're in the middle of making plans or having an important conversation, a quick “Hey, I'm tied up right now, but I'll message you later” can prevent unnecessary confusion.
You don't owe anyone constant access to you.
But disappearing and reappearing whenever it's convenient isn't exactly a masterclass in texting, either. 😏
🚨 Crime #4: The “K.” That Could Start a War 😂
Her: “I can't believe we finally get a night to ourselves! ❤️”
Him: “K.”
K?!
JUST K?!
She sent you a whole mood, a sprinkle of excitement, and a heart emoji.
You responded with the emotional warmth of a parking ticket.
Now, some people really do text briefly. That's fine. Not every message needs emojis, fireworks, and a marching band.
But if your partner is excited about something, try matching a little of that energy.
Try this instead:
“Right?! I've been looking forward to it all week. ❤️”
It takes approximately four extra seconds.
You can spare four seconds, brother. We believe in you.
🚨 Crime #5: The Compliment That Missed Its Exit
She sends you a picture before your date.
Her: “What do you think? 😘”
Him: “Looks good.”
Looks good?!
What is this, a product review? 😂
If you genuinely think she looks beautiful, tell her!
“Wow. You look gorgeous. I can't wait to see you tonight. 😍”
Simple. Genuine. Effective.
And no, this doesn't mean you must compliment every picture or pretend to feel something you don't. Be honest.
But if she's asking for your opinion and you like what you see, don't make her feel like she's waiting for approval from a customer service department.
A little enthusiasm never hurt a good conversation.
🚨 Crime #6: Sending “I'm on My Way” While You're Still on the Couch 🛋️
Her: “Are you almost here?”
You: “Yeah, on my way!”
Meanwhile, you're barefoot, looking for your keys, and deciding whether you have time to make a sandwich.
BRO. 😂
That's not “on my way.”
That's “I have acknowledged the concept of leaving.”
Here's a revolutionary idea: tell the truth about your ETA.
“I'm running about 15 minutes behind. Sorry! I'll text you when I leave.”
There. No mystery. No imaginary traffic. No elaborate cover story involving a train that doesn't exist.
Being late happens. Pretending you're already halfway there when you haven't located your shoes? That's a different situation entirely.
🚨 Crime #7: The Double-Texting Panic
You send a message.
No reply.
Five minutes later: “You there?”
Ten minutes later: “Everything okay?”
Another five minutes: “Did I say something?”
Then: “Never mind.”
Then: “Sorry.”
Then a completely unrelated meme because apparently we're trying every possible communication method known to humanity. 🤣
Gentlemen, breathe.
People get busy. Phones get put down. Notifications get missed. Someone can be interested in you and still not respond immediately.
You don't need to panic over every pause.
Send your message, give the other person time to respond, and go live your life.
And if you're consistently being ignored or the effort feels one-sided, that's worth paying attention to over time.
But five minutes without a reply?
Go drink some water, brother.
The investigation can wait. 😂
📱 The Wink Wink Man Texting Survival Guide
Before you hit send, remember these five things:
- Give her something to respond to. A little detail beats a lonely “good.”
- Match the energy. You don't need to become a poet, but enthusiasm is attractive.
- Be honest. About your plans, your timing, and what you actually mean.
- Don't overthink every pause. Not every delayed reply is a secret message.
- Be yourself. The goal isn't to text perfectly. It's to communicate like a real human being who actually wants to be there.
And ladies, this goes both ways. Men aren't mind readers, either, and everybody has their own texting style.
We're not aiming for perfect texts.
We're aiming for fewer “What does THAT mean?” screenshots sent to the group chat. 😂
Gentlemen, We Need Your Confession. 👀
Which texting crime have YOU committed?
A. The one-word reply.
B. The midnight “wyd?”
C. The disappearing act.
D. The “I'm on my way” lie.
E. All of the above. Please don't judge me. 🤣
And ladies… which one makes you roll your eyes the hardest?
Drop your answers in the comments. We promise this is a judgment-free zone.
Well… mostly. 😏🖤
